2007 SCHEDULE Saturday, July 7 |
|
| Sunday, July 1 CANADA DAY IN SICAMOUS Sicamous, BC |
Downtown Sicamous by the lake - who can beat that? |
Sunday, June 17 |
Held at the St James Hall, 3214 West 10th Avenue. Thanks to all the good people who, back in December, made our fundraiser for this project such a success. Steve Charles has put his heart and soul into this multi-band CD that features six of Vancouver's hottest young Bluegrass and Old-Time bands. See the Rogue Folk Club site for more info & tix. The bands are: Dyad, an internationally recognized trio specializing in haunting Appalachian fiddle and clawhammer music; The Mountain Bluebirds, three gals, three guys that tour nationally and play good clean bluegrass; The Breakmen, some serious songwriting and musicianship here (they are rising stars-check them out), Plough (no website), an old-time quartet with bittersweet harmonies; Viper Central, a six-piece alt-grass ensemble, and Steven's band, Redgrass. |
