What Folke Sigurdsson from Helsingborg in Sweden has to say about the Mountain Bluebirds CD (as reviewed on CD Baby website): In the summer of 2005 I visit Pemberton Folkfestival in Brittish Columbia. And in that beutiful place, in the Canadian Rockies, I saw a unforgettable konsert whit this band I never heard before. Then I come home from my North American trip I start searthing for a record of MountainBlueBirds. But, like everybody else, I have to wait until the realese of this exellent bluegrass cd. I have to be honest and say: bluegrass is a new kind of music for me. So I,m not a specilalist in that kind of music. But I be more and more intrested of instrumental music. And this cd including much of that I looking for. Like beutiful melodys, mood, genuin traditionary musicalinstument(dont forget the banjosolos!) and nice vokals. And now I,m waiting for the next album, that I hope would be a livealbum. And to the bandmembers I have to say: You are very welcome to a tour here in Scandinavia! "The Mountain Bluebirds (Indie)... Nothing beats straight ahead traditional Bluegrass. The Mountain Bluebirds are a fine example of this phenomena. Killer harmonies, super sweet pickin' and an authentic (and obvious) love of what they are doing makes for an album that would be the perfect accompaniment for brewin' moonshine and shootin' rev'nooers on a beautiful day." -- The Redcat Records Newsletter "With so many excellent groups currently available, it’s becoming apparent to us talent bookers that we should favor groups who not only play and sing well; but who also perform original material, and perhaps most importantly put on a great stage show as well. The Mountain Bluebirds have nailed all of those qualities in spades." --Brian White, President, Foothills Bluegrass Music Society, Calgary, Alberta, Feb 28, 2006 "Only just got back home from the show...wanted to mention how great the Mountain Bluebirds were in Red Deer tonight. Details to follow, I hope...but it was a wonderful concert. Book this band. Now." -- Donald Teplyske, Waskasoo Bluegrass Committee, Red Deer, Alberta, Feb26, 2006
